YES, BUILDING WALL/sdOORS/cIELINGS ETC HAVE FIRE RATINGS AND FIRE STOPPER WALLS DO HAVE RATING BASED ON ITS THICKNESS. IN HOURS . REFER NFPA CODES/bUILDING CODES OR ATLEAST ENQUIRE WITH MANUFACTURER OF THESE ITEMS FOR APPLICATIO/ngUIDE SPECS BEFORE YOU ORDER THEM , TO SUIT YOUR FIRE PROTECTION CRITERIA.

firestopping comes with different ratings, expressed in hours.

In order to estimate cost, one would need to know the number of penetrations, the wall constructions, the hourly ratings of the walls and the accessibility of the penetrations.

Yes, some building components are fire rated. If you are working on a new building, the plans will tell you most of what you need to know. If it is a building for which you do not have plans, it can be pretty tough to do. To be safe, you might figure all exterior penetrations to be four hour rated, and interior penetrations to be two hour rated.

Have a look at a couple of manufacturer’s web pages, like Hilti and 3M, to get an idea of the magnitude of your problem.
